Recently I took a step back from Project 6 and needed to simplify and keep the game true to it's initial origins. Project 6 was supposed to be my homage to classic games such as Quake and Doom, whilst blending that nostalgic gameplay feel with modern day graphics and playability. This caused me to rethink how I have been developing the game. With my deadline slowly creeping up I decided to completely strip down the game to its core, removing the single player mode and completely reworking the aesthetic of the game. Project 6 is now a gritty, atmospheric split screen arena battle game; filled with dirty and tense atmospheric soundscapes created by Brandon Vare alongside blinding and disorientating visuals which are fast paced and blinding for the player.
